News You Can Use On Student Loan Refinance & Consolidation

By Dorene Patterson There are millions of college graduates each year who struggle to make ends meet each month. Overburdened with the debts incurred to afford them the luxury of a decent education. A luxury many high school grads never get the opportunity to experience due to the rising costs of obtaining financing to pay for it. Just as many have made the decision to refinance their student loans in the hopes of lowering their monthly expenses just to survive. If your expenses each month outweigh your income, you can quickly get into trouble and quite a financial crunch with late fees, finance charges and interest due adding up faster than you can pay them. In most cases a student loan refinance is an answer to many prayers. By taking all your student debt and combining it into one new consolidated loan, you can save yourself a lot of money each month which in turn can save your credit and lower your financial stress level immensely. A student loan refinance is sometimes the only solution to being able to get caught up and living a much more relaxed lifestyle with extra cash on hand each month. Don’t let the overwhelming amount of information on this subject keep you from obtaining your goal of getting out of debt and reestablishing your credit so the vicious cycle can end once and for all. You need to start simple by first getting the basic facts of what is involved in a student loan refinance and what steps you need to take to begin. You will find easy steps to take as well as breaking news you need to read that is going to have a huge impact on student loan refinancing and consolidation by the first of next month. I can’t stress enough the importance of getting started right now in order to secure the lowest interest rates you can get right now because after next month you can expect to pay up to 20% or more in interest than what is presently available today. Dorene Patterson is the author of many articles on Student Loan Refinance & Consolidation that will help you save both time and money. Every Day Should Be Mother’s Day

By Roschelle Nelson “Hi Mom!”. How many times have you heard a television personality, sports star or just about anyone you’ve ever seen on TV say that very statement at some point during an interview or an impromptu pan of the camera? The love and admiration we share for our mother’s is universal. There is no role more paramount than the role of motherhood. It’s unfortunate that most of the time we don’t realize how much love and devotion our mother’s give until we become mother’s ourselves. Someone famous once said, “Having children is allowing your heart to walk outside your body for the rest of your life”. Oh, I know that fatherhood is extremely important as well. However, the mother and child bond transcends all understanding. I’m still amazed at how often my mom knew when something just wasn’t right. She often told me it was a look in my eyes that always gave her a clue that my day hadn’t been as pleasant as I was pretending it had been. A mother is the nurturer, the peacekeeper, the mender, the counselor, the one that keeps it all together no matter what. She wakes before the rest of the family and generally retires after she knows everyone else is settled in for the night. Her many roles are endless. She’s the designated driver for soccer practice, dance lessons, piano recitals, and those awesome Friday night football games. She’s our best friend when she says yes and our worst enemy when she says no. She’s also the greatest psychic ever. How else can you explain how she always knew where everything was! Many things in life have tried to define me. Still, the definition of who I am and the type mother I’ve become rely solely on the amazing and single handed job my mother did with me. To my Mother and the many others around the world, Happy Mother’s Day, today, tomorrow and forever. Roschelle Nelson is the founder of Wah4life.com. How to make your Phone Unique

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Russ_Egan]Russ Egan Mobile phones have become a symbol of modern society. They represent not only communication, but fashion, entertainment, and status. Mobile phones are originally devices used to simply convert voices and send them to another device which converts them back, but over the years there are many more things that can be done, which will make your phone unique. (1) Ringtones - A Ringtone will make your phone stand out in a crowd. It not only lets you know that your phone is the one ringing, but it also gives a direct message to those around you. A popular song as a ringtone lets people know your interest in music, or a novelty tune can be a good ice-breaker. (2) Wallpapers - Looking at a plain background often gets boring. So, from time to time, changing the wallpaper on your phone can give it a completely different look. As they say, Variety is the spice of life. You can even upload pictures from your computer and put them on your phone. (3) Screensavers - To save your mobile phones screen from burning out, a screensaver can also be used in a similar way to wallpaper. A funny picture or a happy image can really pick you up after a long day. (4) Logos - Related to wallpapers, logos can show an interest in different hobbies to everyone around. From Beer Brands, to Sports and Animals. All of these things can help make your new phone stand out. By changing even a single one of these things, your phone can become entirely your own. Is it Love or Lust?

By Carol Ann Culbert Johnson Now this is the million dollar question and we all want to know the answer to this one. How do we know if were lusting for a man or really in love with him? Love is a deep tender feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. (Online dictionary) Love is a feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance. Love is sexual passion and sexual intercourse. Did the definitions of love answer your questions? Are you wondering if the mate youre with is in love with you or is he lusting after that size five body of yours? Are you in love with him, or do you want his body? Lust is intense or unrestrained sexual craving; to have an intense or sexual desire; intense eagerness or enthusiasm. Now how about the definition for lust; are you lusting for your mate? Do you have this deep desire for him and you want to ravage his body from the moment you set eyes on him? Does he want to ravish your body from the moment he sets eyes on you? If so, maybe you two are animals, lusting after the heat. The only thing you both will have in common is sex and nothing more or less. I was in a book club once and we had finished reading a romance novel by one of the BET authors. After everyone had a week to read the book we met up on Friday to discuss it. I was amazed at the different opinions that were thrown out there: How could you fall madly in love with someone you just meet? Its nothing but a mechanism of lust pure and simple. Theres no such thing as love at first sight. Its lust at first sight. The two main characters saw each other at a party, and they couldnt take their eyes off of each other. The hero wanted to take the heroine to bed at first glance. If this was the case, then hes hot for her, but its of a lustful nature, of course. He wants to take her to bed right now, so what kind of person is this? Im not into you as a committed relationship. Im so burning for you; I want your body and nothing more or nothing less. Do you get the picture? When I see someone across the room I dont want to tear off his shirt, and then unzip his pants, and make passionate love to him on the floor. I want to get to know that person, and the sex will be something if our relationship develops more. Maybe this is the reason why marriages and relationship doesnt work. Were not really in love, but we lust for each other. Was Brad and Jennifer really in love with each other, or did they lust for each other? Lust wears off, and love will last a lifetime. I think they got caught up in the fairy tale, and Brad wanted something new of a different model. He got tired of the same old thing. My man told me that he loved me often, but his actions proved that his words were useless to me. If you tell me that you love me, then Im going to make you prove your love for me. I have lusted after men, but the only thing I wanted to do with them was jump their bones, and then get on with the rest of my life. I didnt see spending the rest of my life with this man. I think I know the difference between lust and love. A love is an emotion that you cant turn on and off like a car engine. You think about that person all day and night, and you want to make sure that you can be with this person. If you spend time with him/her just watching a movie, or eating together, you know that you really have deep rooted feelings for this person. If you go to a party and your eyes see someone, and your first thought is how he looks naked, then hes not your love mate, but hes your lust mate. You just want to get him into bed, and have your way with him. You probably wont even recognize his name in the morning. When it comes between love and lust, Id take the love over lust any time of the day, week, month or year. Im searching for a lasting relationship and not a one night stand with a man who wants to get his groove on with me for an hour of passionate stimulation of the love kind. Women do you want a lasting relationship with a man who loves you more than his own life, or do you want someone who has this desire to have you morning, noon and night? Men do you want a woman because her body turns you on, and you are hard as rock because of it? Or do you want someone who you want to spend the rest of your life with, and youd die for? If you really answered this question truthfully then your answer is very simple. I want lust or I want love. I think I want love because love conquers all and it makes the world go around. As for lust, I wouldnt want a man thinking of me in those terms. Im going to sleep with her; bang her, and then Im going home to my loving wife because shes not that kinky in bed. Married men are lusting for women every day of the week. When the summer time hits Chicago with a bang, the men are so hard; they cant walk for the emotions harboring their brain. You see a woman with half of her body out, you want her. I think this is lust. If you saw a woman with a turtle neck sweater on, and she had on a winter coat, and you wanted to talk to her, then you might eventually fall in love with her because love has won hands down. I want love and lust in my relationship. Can we have them both? I think so depending on the parties involved. I want a man that loves me to death and lusts after me in a very pleasurable way so he can have my body rocking to the ends of the earth and then some. Why cant we have them both? Again, is it love or lust? The truthful answer will free your mind into an evolution of emotions. I want love. (1,137) I am 43 years old and writing and reading is my passion. Writing Contests for Teens - Something to Do With a Boring Summer!

By Michelle L Devon Somewhere between standardized testing, number 2 pencils, and bubble in the circle…children lose their love for learning. With the loss of funding in most schools, and in some places so much so that there is not enough money to supply even text books, the fine arts programs take a back seat to math, science and language. Learning stopped being fun for kids somewhere around the time that the music programs were slashed, fine arts and art classes were removed or made extracurricular, and school libraries have to make do with what they can get through grants and donations. All children need a way to escape, to be transported to magical times and places, faraway lands they may never visit in real life, or take a trip through history. Video games have become the way of the future, but there’s not a lot to be learned from a video game. So how can children learn while also enjoying the experience? By reading! The problem is, reading isn’t as exciting to children as it once was. Computers, video games, internet, and other such modern marvels have taken the place of a good book in many youngster’s lives. There is nothing wrong with these kids loving the internet, and there is much that can be gained by using the internet. In fact, a lot of these children use blogs as a creative expression and outlet, so they are writing. So why not take that writing these kids are doing and put it to some creative use? There is a way. Several small publishers have opened up writing and illustration contests to young readers. These contests allow children to use their creative talents while also having a chance to be published in books or periodicals sold all over the country and even receive royalty contracts or scholarships. One such publisher, who has created contests for kids this summer, and they also plan to keep contests running for children all year round, is Koboca Publishing. I recently spoke with Bo Savino, the author of Reggie & Ryssa, and the Summer Camp of Faery, one of the books used for facilitating this contest through Koboca Publishing, and here is what she had to say about the children’s contests: “I am very excited about the contests… [They are] going to be a great thing to energize kids…I love that most of all.” While most traditional writing and illustration contests have entry fees, Koboca Publishing’s contests for kids don’t have any entry fees at all. When I asked why Koboca Publishing decided not to charge an entry fee, here is what they had to say: “No entry fees…. and [we] could probably make some money from entry fees…but [we] want it available for all kids…and some won’t be able to do it with entry fees.” There are other small publishers and magazine publications / periodicals that offer writing and illustration contests for children too. Some of these charge small entry fees, some charge no entry fees, but they all offer a child a way to see their name and their art or work in print, while at the same time bringing back a love for literature and the arts. To find these contests, simply use your favorite search engine and search for children’s literature or writing contests. Be sure to always check the authenticity of the contests before entering or allowing your child to enter into the contest. These contests can help foster a love for the fine arts again, by getting kids involved in the literary and illustrative process, making them a part of something bigger, along with some noteriaty that all kids crave. Why not pick up a few copies of some interesting books for your kids today and get them started on a journey into the unknown that reading can bring? After a few books, help your kids get involved in writing or illustrating for publishing companies that hold these contests for the types of books they enjoy. Not only will this help bring a love of the written word back to your child, but it just might keep them busy during those long summer months and you will no longer hear, “Mom, I’m sooo bored. There’s nothing to do!” Good luck to all who choose to enter contests this year! Do We Still Need Wedding Traditions?

By Lorna Mclaren Traditionally at weddings the speechs are made after the wedding dinner but do the speech makers really enjoy their meal? I have been to weddings where the best man could not eat his dinner because of nerves!! Traditions come into being when many people do the same thing over and over again so by definition we can start our own traditions to suit the times in which we live. So when it comes to speaking and eating at a wedding then why not reverse the order and let everyone enjoy their meal!! Now more than ever before we stand up for the right to express our individuality so why on one of our most precious of days do we feel bound by the past and what is traditional? Our wedding day should be an expression of who we are, of who these two people are and how they are going to mix. Once you have decided on what time of year is best for you, you have your colorscheme planned, your reception decorations are in hand and your favors are ordered then you can decide how traditional you want to be. Some traditions are “broken” by circumstance. A daughter whose father has passed can be walked down the aisle by a brother, uncle, family friend or by her mother. Father-of -the-bride speech can be delivered by mother-of-the-bride. Likewise sister or aunt can stand in for the mother-of-the-bride. If these traditions can be put to one side because of circumstance then why not others that are not particularly practical? Your wedding day should be one that becomes a cherished memory not one that if you could do it again you would do differently! Lorna Mclaren has http://www.a1-ourwedding.com where most of your wedding requirements can be met. Get new ideas, pick a wedding dress or organise your favors all in your PJs! Weight Loss Surgery; The Last Resort

By Michelle Bery For millions of overweight people who have walked through the endless revolving door of weight loss and weight gain there may come a day when having weight loss surgery becomes a decision with which they are faced. And while weight loss surgery represents the final frontier for many who have battled the bulge for years, it is fast becoming an accepted and commonplace procedure. What was once considered a risky last resort has now become a customary course of action among those looking to lose significant weight. However, one thing that has remained the same is that weight loss surgery is meant for those who are clinically and dangerously overweight. It is not a quick fix for those who just need to lose a few pounds. When the dangers of obesity far outweigh the dangers of a surgical procedure then weight loss surgery becomes an option. Luckily, weight loss surgery is now much safer and is performed by a host of experienced doctors who have delivered results for thousands of people around the world. It is of the utmost importance however to find a highly regarded doctor who is vastly experienced in weight loss surgery. Word of mouth can be a great place to start; once you hear of a particular doctor from a variety of sources who has earned a stellar reputation you can then go about researching his/her more factual credentials. There are several types of weight loss surgery. During restrictive procedures the stomach is actually made smaller to decrease the amount of food that can be ingested. Malabsorptive techniques limit the contact ingested food has with the intestines thus reducing the amount of food that is absorbed into the body. Weight loss surgery promises to become less invasive in the future as surgeons explore safer, non-invasive surgery in the form of laparoscopic procedures. Regardless of anything, the decision to have weight loss surgery should not be made lightly. Every effort should be made to lose weight through diet and exercise first. If you feel as though this is the solution for you, consult with your doctor on whether your risk factors for obesity-related diseases outweigh your risk factors for surgery. Do your research; talk to others who have had the procedure, go online to access the enormous amount of information available there; read every book and piece of literature you can find. Being educated on what to expect during and after surgery will help you make an informed decision. And know that weight loss surgery does not mean that you are off the hook in being mindful of diet and exercise. Having surgery and then going back to your old lifestyle will only sabotage your chances of success. Be smart about weight loss surgery and a new healthy life can be yours to have. 21 Ways To Expand Your Subscriber List

By Catherine Franz Expanding your subscriber list, whether it be for your ezine, newsletter — printed or electronic — takes persistence, and commitment. Not to mention time and letting go of the frustruation of it all. Marketing Master, Catherine Franz, is sharing with you twenty- one methods, strategies, and ideas all located in one spot on how you can expand your list. 1. Keep your subscription form easy to find on every web page. Preferably, add it on your navigational bar. If the form is to large for the bar or page, add a hyperlink and send them to a popup or a separate page so that the previous page on your site doesn’t disappear. It is easy for them to return. 2. Not only must the form be easy to see, it also needs to be easy to read. Label each field. I’ve seen a few where I didn’t know what to enter. Be kind to computer readers suffering from dry eyes, make the font large and easy to read. 3. Do you write your own ezine articles? Add a “please subscribe here line to your byline. Begin the line with a benefit they get from subscribing and then add a few invitational words along with a URL hyperlink. Example: “Learn more about this topic. Subscribe to [name of your ezine] by visiting….” 4. Generally, people are impulse buyers. So, give them that impulse. Give away a free ebook. Instead of letting them see that the ebook is free. Regularly charge for the eBook. Six dollars is a good price, just explain them that it is a limited special offer. They will perceive it even more valuable when there is a price connected to it. An example of the wording could go like, “Normally this ebook sells for $6 at [your web site URL or even a middle man ebook site].” Always give them a reason why you are giving it to them free. Make the reason believable. 5. Do you belong to networking groups, or attend other events? Invite everyone you meet if they would like to register for your ezine. Give them a story about the free, but not so free, ebook offer. Always, make this offer limited. In fact, have a list of these free but-not-free ebooks, written either by you, affiliates, or from resale right products. Move them around. Put one on the calendar for January through December and then repeat them the next year. Then in the third year, change it. Also, share with them how easy it is to opt-out if they don’t like the ezine and they can keep the ebook. 6. Don’t stop at networking groups, contact trade or professional organizations you do or don’t belong to that have a high percentage of your type of readers. Ask for the membership list. Look for the people you have identified as your gatekeepers (people that know lots of others in your target market). For accountants, it’s lawyers and bankers. Call them and introduce yourself. Ask if they could recommend your ezine to a few of their friends. You can also attend their networking events and ask, ask, ask. 7. Instead, or in addition to, calling the gatekeepers you have identified on the membership lists, you can send them a letter of introduction — a direct mail piece. The piece can ask them (a call to action) to visit your web site for more information on your newsletter and/or receive a copy of the free but-not-free ebook. 8. Share the wealth. Exchange recommendations to each other’s newsletter. Be prepared for these so that it doesn’t cost you valuable time when you are working on a deadline. If you work with a virtual assistant, let them respond to these opportunities. Prepare three or four examples and offer the exchanger their choice to use one that they feel is appropriate for their audience. Ask them for a reciprocal and equal announcement. 9. Make comments and include your byline at the end. Comments can be product review on Amazon, ezines you enjoy, or local newspapers. Give suggestions, share your stories on how it helped you, ask questions, or give ideas that emerged from your reading. Blogs are also good places to comment on as well. 10. It takes 7 times before people start to trust. Present them 7 opportunities to have two-way conversations with you. Not one-way conversations (you write, they read). Provide the two-way with surveys, questions, contests, games, things that they need to ask for are just a few. If you are offering a contest, send them a testimonial from the winner. If you can, create an opportunity for many winners. It spreads the hope and attraction. 11. Use a conversational writing tone. It makes a connection. Yet, don’t get lax on the grammar and spelling. Use personal pronouns (I, me, you and your). Limit the percentage of I’s to half or less of the yous. 12. Spread the knowledge even further by asking your readership to forward a copy of your ezine to family members, friends, colleagues, or co-workers. Create a “please forward this ezine to” line or two. Give them an incentive, offer a free but-not-free item. This can be challenging to design. 13. Do you give presentations with slides or a projection system? Add a paragraph about your ezine and how to get it on the test slide. A test slide is the slide you leave up there when they are seating themselves. Leave it displayed until a few minutes before your presentation and then turn it off. By turning it off, it creates a “loss feeling” and they will pay attention to it the next time you turn it on. Turn the system on with the test slide displayed and then switch to the next slide. The next slide can explain how they can get your free but-not-for-free product and the directions on how to receive it. Return to this same slide at the end of your presentation. 14. At this same presentation, pass around a clipboard asking them if they want to register for ezine. Start passing at the beginning or even before you start. Use a short piece, different colored paper, with a note about the free but-not-free item. Give them three incentives to register at that time. 15. Send out a press release every time you have a new free but-not-free item available. Send whenever you have new context, new article published, or whenever anything else occurs. Since press releases require special writing, you might want to delegate this, especially if you are challenged with writing from another perspective. If you choose to learn the lingo, you can learn the how-tos with a Google search: Search example: “press release” and “how to”. Leave in the quote marks. Don’t be nervous about sending out too many, some are always missed. http://www.prweb.com/ is a great place to post your press releases. 16. Locate web sites that give out awards for outstanding ezines. Apply and keep applying. Keep tweaking. Look at previous winners and model. When you do win one, post it everywhere on your site and on every issue of your ezine for a year. Also, send out a press release when you do. If they create a press release as well, ask to use that one. Make copies of theirs and give it out at networking events. Remember, you can’t win the lotto unless you play. So, get in the game, and apply. Try: http://emailuniverse.com/bestezines/ or search on Google with: “ezine award”. 17. I’m frequently asked, “How much information should I ask for?” My recommendation is to KISS your subscriber form — “keep it short and simple.” Ask for the e-mail address and/or their first name. If you ask for their first name, tell them why. Example: We like to personalize our correspondence with our subscribers.” 18. Set up section for past issues of your e-newsletters. I recommend just listing their main topic or name of the article and not by date. People don’t like to read things that they consider “old news”. If you use a pdf format to deliver past issues there are pros and cons. The pros are: pdf files are smaller to store and send. The con is that you loose the opportunity for tagging the item for search engine listing. 19. After you post your articles in the ezine, expand or submit as is to multi-media web sites. Possibility: http://www.goarticles.com. Locations where publishers and editors will pick up the article. Normally, there are no fees paid, just opportunity for visibility. When published send out a press release. Link their site, not yours, in the press release, Send them a copy of the release. 20. Readers are tired of not getting any value and are dropping off lists fast. faster than ever. To keep them there you MUST provide valuable information (their perception not yours). The 25/75% rule (you give them 25% and sell them the remaining 75%) is acceptable. After reading thousands of ezines, I found many publishers don’t come close to providing that percentage. 21. Add an invitation to all your automatic e-mail signatures. Also, mention the free but-not-free item of the month. Include an expiration date for that free but-not- free offer. Change the e-mail signatures weekly to maintain interest.
